Morning Active Practice
9 - 11:30 am
A long and luxurious Sunday morning yoga class. The practice begins with long-held floor postures and myofascial release (self massage) techniques to slowly warm and prepare the body and mind for deeper opening and exploration. The extra time makes it possible for students to linger in asanas and meditate on concepts and themes with a depth and thoroughness that is not always possible in shorter weekly classes. Katie hopes these sessions will inspire students to approach their yoga with renewed curiosity, attention, and pleasure.
Afternoon Yin & Restorative
1:30 - 4 pm
A quiet, therapeutic, and nourishing afternoon of restorative yoga. In a relaxed state, your parasympathetic nervous system becomes dominant and the body is able to heal itself, reversing the physiological, mental, and spiritual effects of chronic stress. Katie will guide you through a thoughtfully sequenced combination of supported postures, myofascial release, breath-work, and meditation that will leave you feeling deeply rested and renewed.
