Join me for a 8-week discussion, movement, and meditation series based on James Baraz and Shoshana Alexander’s book Awakening Joy: 10 Steps to Happiness. Each weekly session will include time for gentle and joyful movement, quiet meditation, and a thoughtful discussion. All levels of yoga students are welcome—even beginners. This workshop will focus on the Deep Front Line (DFL)—a deep continuity of muscles and connective tissue that make up our myofascial core. Running from the sole of our feet to the root of our tongue, the DFL provides core alignment and stability and makes it possible for us to move through the world with grace, stability, ease, and agility. Lack of proper balance and tone along the DFL can lead to foot, knee, hip, or back pain and a collapsed pelvic and/or spinal core. We'll learn to lengthen and tone this deep myofascial pathway so we can move toward a more easeful, optimal and balanced alignment in both movement and stillness. Information & registration.

Join Katie for a slow and luxurious Sunday morning yoga practice that will leave you feeling both energized and restored. The first half of the practice will include long-held floor postures and myofascial release (self massage) techniques to slowly warm and prepare the body and mind for deeper opening and exploration.
