Myofascial Movement + Meditation: Balancing the Front & Back Body

Balancing the myofascial pathways that run up and down the front and back of our bodies can lead to increased freedom and health in the ankles, knees, and hips. It can reduce strain and compression in the lower back, free the breath, and dissolve tension that gathers in the neck and shoulders. Through myofascial release (self-massage), meditative movement, and with support from a visual presentation, we'll develop a clear felt-sense of our own unique fascial bodies. We'll learn ways to create both length and strength along these pathways so the body can move toward a more easeful, optimal and balanced alignment in both movement and stillness. Set the morning, the afternoon, or the whole day aside for self-care with Katie Louvat at her monthly long practice. The morning begins with a slow and luxurious hatha yoga practice. The day ends on a gentle note with a therapeutic afternoon of restorative yoga, myofascial release, breath-work, and meditation. Space is limited, pre-registration is required.
