This workshop will focus on the Arm Lines—four layers of muscle and connective tissue that make it possible for us to interact with, manipulate, and respond to the world around us using our hands and arms. When out of balance, the arm lines can contribute to shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand problems like carpal tunnel, elbow and shoulder impingements, chronic muscular pain in the neck and shoulders and more. Through myofascial release (self-massage), meditative movement, and with support from a visual presentation, we will develop a clear felt-sense of our own unique fascial bodies. We'll learn ways to create both length and strength along these pathways so the body can move toward a more easeful, optimal and balanced alignment in both movement and stillness. Information & registration.
